I am a psychodynamic counsellor/therapist and group-work practitioner, working in private practice in Jersey.
I am a fully accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and an associate member of the Institute of Group Analysis. I abide by the codes of ethics for these organisations.
I am registered as a psychotherapist with the States of Jersey’s Health and Social Services department.
I work from a private yet conveniently located office in St Helier, Jersey.
I receive weekly supervision from two off-island supervisors, both of whom are analysts.
I previously worked for some years in private practice on the UK mainland and I also have experience of working in educational settings (higher education).
I trained as a psychodynamic counsellor at the University of Brighton, where I completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (Distinction).
I went on to further training with the Institute of Group Analysis (London) and qualified as a group-work practitioner after completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Group Analytic Studies in association with Birkbeck, University of London.
I also completed the (clinical) Foundation Course at the Institute of Psychoanalysis (London).
Other education and experience
I am a published and produced playwright and a classically trained musician. I have a First Class degree in English from Queen’s University of Belfast.
